Information we receive

You provide information directly through the enquiry form or by emailing us. The form asks for your name, email address and project message. Optional details include your business or organisation, signage interest, site location, rough dimensions, preferred date, artwork and site photographs.

Files may contain personal information, so please include only what is needed for your project. We do not ask for payment-card details or require a website account.

Hosting and font providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested resources and request times. The enquiry service temporarily uses connection information to limit repeated submissions and reduce abuse.

Why we use it and proposed lawful bases

We use enquiry information to understand your requirements, contact you, prepare a quotation and discuss the project you have asked about.

This draft proposes processing that is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract where applicable. For business representatives’ enquiries, the proposed basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business requests. Operating and protecting the website also serves our legitimate interest in providing a reliable, secure enquiry service.

For review: these bases and any legitimate-interest assessment must be confirmed by the business before this notice is finalised. Any subsequent order records or new purposes need an appropriate lawful basis and corresponding notice.

The current enquiry form does not sign you up to a marketing list or use your files for public advertising. We do not use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Providers and sharing

• Replit — website hosting: serves the website and processes enquiry submissions and uploads. Its infrastructure may process technical request and security information. See Replit’s privacy policy.
• Google — enquiry email: receives the enquiry details and attachments for delivery to the business mailbox. Reply correspondence and emailed attachments are held in that mailbox. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — typefaces: the browser requests fonts from Google. Those requests include technical information such as IP address, browser headers and the referring page, not the enquiry form’s contents. See Google Fonts privacy information.

Storage, retention and international processing

Uploaded files are held temporarily in the website server’s memory while an enquiry is processed and sent by email. They are not added to a public file library. The enquiry form keeps unsent details and selected files in the current page; reloading or closing it may lose that unsent information.

Email delivery creates mailbox copies of the details and attachments. The website does not automatically delete those email copies.

Retention period not yet confirmed: the business has not established a fixed retention period for enquiry emails and attached files. A review and deletion schedule must be agreed before this policy is publication-ready. This draft does not promise a made-up deletion deadline.

Google and Replit operate international infrastructure. The processing locations, applicable provider terms and any required international-transfer safeguards must be checked before this notice is finalised. We do not claim that all information remains in the UK.

Reasonable security precautions are important, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Your data protection rights

Under applicable UK data protection law, you may have rights to access and correct your information, request erasure or restriction, object to certain processing, and receive or transfer information where the relevant conditions apply. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.

This website is intended for business signage enquiries, not to collect information about children. Please do not include unnecessary personal information about children in messages or photographs.

This notice should be updated if the form, providers or business handling of enquiries changes. The structure follows the ICO’s small-organisation privacy-notice guidance and template, adapted for this website.
